Google plans to enter the digital music business to rival Apple’s digital music store iTunes. Search engine giant is trying to ‘taste’ cake business that has a value of nearly approximately $ 4, 2 billion.
New York Times, Sunday (06/20/2010) announced, Google has had numerous conversations with world music labels for content provision cooperation. Most likely, this digital music store will be devoted to the Android based mobile phone users.
According to sources the New York Times, Andy Rubin, who now serves as Chief Architect of Android wanted music to become one of Google priority to develop Android.
Rubin is a man who once worked with Apple so that Apple knew the ins and outs. Android which emerged since 2008 are now trying to challenge phone was built by Apple; the iPhone. As of today, Android becomes a serious threat to the iPhone.
“Google is very serious about entering this business, and they will be very aggressive, the end of this year they will launch the service so that the user can download via the Android phone,” the source said.
Google has not provided official information about that possibility. But software developers at a conference last month, Google gave a preview of how a song can be downloaded through the Android Marketplace, and it shows that Google is planning to lead into the digital music market.
Currently, iTunes still dominates digital music market with a market share of more than 70 percent, followed by Amazon’s MP3 store which controls 12 percent market share.

Google has decided to add language translator features in Google Chrome. The company said that it will expand to all the features of the Windows version of Chrome browser as part of the category of “stable channel” / “stable channel”
First introduced at the beginning of this month in a beta version of Chrome, a feature of this translator supports 52 different languages and allows the browser to translate the text in web pages at high speed.
Google says that the translation tool will be included in all versions of the new G-Chrome, while current users will be able to install the tools as part of automatic updates.
“Translation feature on Google Chrome is the latest step in the evolution of translation tools on Google,” wrote Google’s Engineering Director Munchen, Wieland Holfelder that in posting to the company’s official blog.
“Today, our technology works and translations in 52 languages can automatically detect and translate the entire website in less than one second.”
In addition to translation tools, the company plans to change the privacy settings on a new update Chrome. Through the update menu will allow users to better manage cookies, pop-ups, images and JavaScript code.

SEOUL – LG Electronics Inc., the world’s second largest producer of liquid-crystal television-display (LCD) plans to boost LCD TV sales to be approximately 40 percent in the next year. This is the impact of this decline to lower the prices and increase the demand.
This company aims to sell 35 million LCD TVs, up from last year with the sales which reached 25 million sets it expects to sell at the end of this year, said Simon Kang, president of LG home entertainment division. The sales which is including plasma TV sets can reach 40 million next year from 29 million this year, he said.
The shipments LCD TV globally are expected to rise 23 percent to 226.7 million set in 2011 from 184.1 million this year.
LG expects sales of LCD TVs that use light-emitting diodes or LEDs will acquire approximately 60 percent of total LCD TV sales next year.
LG, based in Seoul on July 28, earnings declined to 90 per cent to USD105 million in the second quarter. Profit from the home entertainment division fell until 90 percent, while the sales rose to 19 percent.
